With hundreds of policies and guidelines managed across departments, manually reviewing every file to check review dates, ownership, duplication or gaps would have been highly resource-intensive. The audit offered a clear snapshot of the Trust’s governance landscape — showing how many documents were in or out of date, where duplication existed and where templates and terminology could be standardised to improve clarity and usability.
