This accessibility statement applies to the Carradale Futures website at carradalefutures.com.
Using this website
This website is run by Carradale Futures Horizon Limited. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
navigate most of the website using a keyboard
listen to most of the website using a screen reader
We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
Accessibility tool
This website uses the UserWay accessibility widget, which is available by selecting the accessibility icon that appears on every page. The widget allows you to adjust the way the website displays and behaves to suit your needs, including options for contrast, font size, text spacing, cursor size and animations. It is available on every page of the website. Many of the accessibility issues identified in our May 2026 audit are addressed for most users through the UserWay widget. We are also carrying out code-level remediation of the remaining underlying issues, which we expect to complete by December 2026.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website do not yet fully meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard at a technical code level. The UserWay widget materially improves the experience for users with a wide range of accessibility needs while this work is completed.

Reporting accessibility problems with this website
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you find any problems not listed on this page, or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, email transformation@carradalefutures.com.
Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the 'accessibility regulations'). If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible at a code level for the following reasons. For most users, the UserWay widget provides a practical workaround for many of these issues. We expect all remaining issues to be resolved through code-level fixes by December 2026.
Some pages do not use landmark regions correctly. The main content area is not consistently marked with a <main> landmark, the primary navigation is not consistently tagged with a navigation landmark, and the search form does not have a search landmark. This means screen reader users may not be able to jump directly to the main content or navigate efficiently by region. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).
Some buttons contain only an icon with no visible text and no accessible label, meaning screen reader users may not be able to determine the purpose of these controls. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value).
Some navigation links do not have sufficiently descriptive labels, meaning screen reader users may not be able to determine the destination or purpose of a link from its label alone. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.6 (Headings and Labels).
On some pages, focused elements can be partially obscured by a sticky header or footer when navigating by keyboard. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.11 (Focus Not Obscured).
Some page titles are not sufficiently descriptive or unique across pages, meaning users navigating between browser tabs or using a screen reader page list may not be able to distinguish between pages. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.4.2 (Page Titled).
Some emphasis and strong text elements are not correctly tagged for assistive technology, meaning the semantic importance of highlighted content may not be communicated to screen reader users. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).
What we are doing to improve accessibility
We carried out an automated accessibility audit of this website in May 2026. We have deployed the UserWay accessibility widget to address common accessibility preferences and to provide practical workarounds for many users while code-level remediation is completed. We are working through the underlying issues identified in the audit and expect to complete all outstanding fixes by December 2026. We will re-audit the website following remediation and update this statement to reflect the outcome.

2. SOPHIA Platform Accessibility Statement
This accessibility statement applies to the SOPHIA platform, operated by Carradale Futures Horizon Limited.
Using this platform
The SOPHIA platform is a governance, policy management and operational workflow tool used by staff at organisations that have deployed it. We want all staff to be able to use SOPHIA regardless of disability or the assistive technology they rely on. If you experience difficulty using any part of SOPHIA, please contact your organisation's platform administrator in the first instance, or contact us directly using the details below.
How accessible this platform is
We are actively carrying out improvements to the SOPHIA platform to achieve full compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA standard. This work is in progress and we are committed to completing remediation by 31 July 2026.
The platform is currently partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA. We are auditing and remediating issues across the platform, with priority given to the areas that have the greatest impact on users of assistive technology, including screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, focus management and the correct use of ARIA roles and landmark regions.
Our improvement programme
We are carrying out a full accessibility audit of the SOPHIA platform against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria and remediating issues through our development programme. Priority areas include page structure and landmark regions to support screen reader navigation, accessible labelling of interactive elements including buttons and navigation links, keyboard focus management and the visibility of focus indicators, and descriptive and unique page titles across all platform views.
We are targeting full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance across all core platform journeys — including login, SOP completion, policy acknowledgement and compliance reporting — by 31 July 2026. This statement will be updated to reflect the outcome of that work no later than 31 July 2026.
Known limitations during the remediation period
While remediation work is ongoing, users of assistive technology may encounter the following types of issues on some pages of the platform: navigation landmarks may not be consistently applied, meaning screen reader users may need to navigate sequentially rather than by region; some buttons and interactive controls may not have accessible labels; and some page titles may not be sufficiently descriptive. We apologise for any inconvenience and are working to resolve these issues ahead of our July 2026 target.
Feedback and contact information
If you encounter an accessibility barrier while using SOPHIA, or need content or guidance in an alternative format, email transformation@carradalefutures.com or write to us at Carradale Futures Horizon Limited, Camburgh House, 27 New Dover Road, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 3DN. We will acknowledge your message within 3 working days and provide a substantive response within 10 working days.
Reporting accessibility problems
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of SOPHIA. If you find an issue not listed on this page, or believe we are not meeting our accessibility obligations, email transformation@carradalefutures.com. We will investigate and respond within 10 working days.
